Guess what? You won’t believe it. One year ago today, I posted my artwork for the first Collage Obsession Challenge! Now, one year later, I am posting my first challenge as a “Contributor”. I feel so excited, fortunate, and honored to do so!
So this week, it seems fitting to focus on the words/concepts: fate, fortune, and the Wheel of Fortune.
Here are the guidelines for the challenge:
· You may use the artwork provided (or not)
· You may create your own artwork reflecting on what fate, fortune, and the Wheel of Fortune mean to you. (It can be silly, serious, or anywhere in-between. No limits.)
· You may focus on one of the words, or any combination thereof.
· The words do not have to show up in your creations.
Here is some background information that may be helpful:
· The image provided is the Wheel of Fortune tarot card from the Rider-Waite tarot card deck. This deck of cards was originally published in 1909.
· The Collins English Dictionary defines “wheel of fortune” as: a revolving device spun by a deity of fate selecting random changes in the affairs of man.
· The Random House Dictionary defines fortune as: “fate; lot; destiny.”

Hello everyone! \(^0^)/
I can't wait to see what you come up with this week. I am creating artwork now right alongside you. You may beat me to it, but I will have something posted by tomorrow.
Best Wishes,
Tiffany
Small Note
In Case You Were Wondering…
In California, when I posted the “Fate, Fortune…Wheel of Fortune” post, it is Sunday, 1/23. January 23, is the date that I posted my artwork in Collage Obsession’s first challenge.
Please note that the date stamp at the end of my post reads Monday, 1/24. I don’t know why! Perhaps my “settings” are locked at Greenwich Mean Time (and it is Monday there).
Sorry for any confusion. LOL. (It’s going to say it’s 1/24 as I publish this comment as well. I just have to figure out how to change it…). Minor details :)

Itkupilli mentioned in her 2/13/11 "Spring" post that the deadlines for challenges aren't strict. So, in that spirit, if you still want to post your artwork for this challenge, I will be notified via e-mail of your post and I will visit your site to see what you've done with the "Fate, Fortune...Wheel of Fortune" challenge.
I just visited "Joy aka Goddessjoy" (above), and she created something beautiful!
