Complementary Colors

Research has shown that different combinations of complementary colors become balanced when used in different proportions. 3:1 for yellow to violet… 2:1 for blue to orange… 1:1 for red to green.

Now we can put this theory on test. Pick one of complementary color combinations pairs and try to use colors in right proportions show above. You can surely use other colors too, but try to use mainly those 2 complimentary colors. Instead of just one image, you can make two or even the triptych of all three color combinations.

Post your  image/s of your art piece on your blog or other site, and leave a link to your work in our "comments" section. Instructions on how to leave a link to your work are located in the right sidebar. Just click on the words, "How to add your link in comment".

I can't wait to see your well-balanced co-ordinated color combinations.

Looks like another fun challenge! Unfortunately, I will not be participating, but will peek in when I can to see what everyone is up to... My Dad is still ill and his progress has been up and down.

Kudos to Rick, Dian & Eila for wonderful challenges as well! xo

The digital picture I created isn't exactly what you were asking us to do, but it is what the challenge inspired me to do. You can find my picture here on my blog. Thanks for looking!
