What is in the glass?

Glass goes back to antiquity. It was invented not long after pottery, and was cherished by the ancient Romans, Minoans, and Egyptians. Early glass was translucent and produced in myriad colors. The invention of transparent glass probably filled people with awe and delight.
Your challenge is to use this glass. Fill it with something, invert it over something, tilt it, twist it, melt it, shatter it. Let someone or something fondle it. Oh, and if you don't like this particular glass, please feel free to select one of your own. (This image is courtesy of made-in-china.com) The difference between a pessimist and an optimist is supposed to be whether they see a glass of liquid as half full or half empty. How do you feel about this glass? What would you fill it with?
