Room

Forgive me, I´m late. I totally forgot my turn. But here it is, new challenge is "ROOM".

Use my room, if you like. It´s one of my favorite backgrounds, I´ve used it on many many of my collages. Or use any room you like or express the word somehow else.

Please post your artwork on your blog or website, and leave a link to it in our “comments” section.
Can´t wait to visit your room.

"Light as air"

Light as air...light as a thistle down...light as a feather...light as a balloon...light as bird on the wing.

Create a piece of work that indicates a feeling of "light as air".

My piece "from another world" seems to have soft small object floating across an imaginary out of the scene!

Please post your artwork on your blog or website, and leave a link to it in our “comments” section. (Instructions on how to leave a link to your work are in the right hand column under “How to Participate.” Just click on the words: “How to add a link in comment”)

Collage Obsession: Backgrounds for your artworks

This time I’m giving you some backgrounds for your artworks. The challenge is to use one (or more) of them in your artwork(s). Choose your favourite theme, or a wonderful or spooky story, and make a collage on one of these backgrounds. You can work digitally, or you can print a background and collage on it manually. Have fun – make art just the way you want!

Post your artwork on your blog or website, and then leave a link to it in our “comments” section. (Instructions on how to leave a link to your work are in the right hand column under “How to Participate.” Just click on the words: “How to add a link in comment”.)

CASANOVA: Scandalous, Seducer, Ladies’ Man

I have a confession: I thought Casanova was just a legend. I didn’t know he was a real person until recently. I’m among friends, so I can admit that, right? LOL. Well, Giacomo Girolamo Casanova’s birthday just passed on Saturday. If he were alive today, he would be 286 years old!

  Giacomo Girolamo Casanova (April 2, 1725 – June 4, 1798)
Oh, what a character he was! In his 73 years on Earth, he was many things: poet, lover, spy, gambler, and author --- just to name a few... To give you a feel for his personality, here is a quote from his memoir, History of My Life (vol.1, pg. 31, Johns Hopkins edition):
Cultivating whatever gave pleasure to my senses was always the chief business of my life; I have never found any occupation more important. Feeling that I was born for the sex opposite to mine, I have always loved it and done all I could to make myself loved by it… As for women, I have always found that the one I was in love with smelled good, and the more copious her sweat the sweeter I found it.
So, here are the guidelines for this week’s challenge:
  • It is okay to use a portion of the image, or the entire image in your art.
  • It is okay not to use the image, instead, please express one or more themes associated with Casanova: scandal, seduction, and/or ladies’ man.
  • The words/themes do not have to show in your artwork.
  • Your creation can be silly, serious, or anything inbetween!
Please post your artwork on your blog or website, and leave a link to it in our “comments” section. (Instructions on how to leave a link to your work are in the right hand column under “How to Participate.” Just click on the words: “How to add a link in comment”)

I can't wait to see what you create! Thank you in advance for participating!
