PATIENCE

We have considered most of the Sins, so I thought it might be nice to tackle a few of the Virtues. Your challenge is to depict PATIENCE. What symbolizes patience to you? An angler on the bank of a stream, waiting for a fish to strike? A mother sitting by a bed of a sick child? A leopard watching from the branch of a tree? Put together a collage that shows your patience!

Alter Egos

Alter ego: a second side to somebody's personality, different from the one that most people know. Synonyms: double, doppelganger, twin, clone, stand-in.

First, I'd like to introduce myself. I'm Sherry (sometimes known online as bluegiraffe), a new member of the Collage Obsession creative team.  I'm addicted to digital collage, although I dabble in many types of "hands-on" art and sometimes incorporate them into my digital work.

So...it's almost Halloween, and people will soon be donning costumes--funny, scary, or just plain weird. Everyone occasionally dreams of being someone else, and not just on October 31st.  Using a photo or image of your choice (choose one from below or one of your own), show us someone's alter ego. Would a circus clown rather be a professor? Might a zebra dream of being a giraffe? You might even use a photo of yourself, and show us your own alter ego...if you dare.

Please show us the "before" image too, so we can see the transformation.

I've posted  my interpretation of this challenge on my blog at
http://alittlecoloreveryday.blogspot.com/2011/10/collage-obsession-alter-egos.html .

Collage Obession - Masks

This week I thought we would play with masks, and have copied a Wikipedia definition to aid you on the way. "A mask is an article normally worn on the face for protection, disguise, performance or entertainment.  They are usually worn on the face but can be positioned elsewhere on the wearer's clothing."  Masks are also the expressions we use to disguise our inner feelings.

I look forward to seeing your creativity in any format. The bottom image is of the ceramic mask from the  Musee de la Bible et de la Terre Sainte

Sepia + pastel color wheel

Here we go again with the color challenge. This time we work with sepia tone and the pastel color wheel. You can use this beautiful photo of an English couple, photographed in 1895, or any other sepia tone image. And then use any pastel color or colors you like to regenerate your chosen image. Anyway you like.

Ok, that´s it. I´m looking forward to see a lots of honeysuckle next week. Let your imagination flow.
