Winter

"Norrländskt vinterlandskap med Åreskutan i fonden" by Carl Brandt

"Winter Landscape" by Caspar David Friedrich
"Winter" by Ivan Shishkin

"Snow Maiden" by Viktor Vasnetsov
"Evening Snow on Mount Hira" by Hiroshige

 "Winter"

I guess the Big Ben bell's are soon tolling midnight in London, so it's time to publish a new challenge.

The topic this time is winter. Use any of the images above. Or express the word "winter" some how in your collage. Or use both, a image/images and a word. Word don't have to show up in your collage.

Post your creation to your blog or other website and leave a comment with a link to your collage.

I can't wait to see your creations.

(Click the image larger and save it to your computer, print it or use digitally. The image is public domain, so you can freely use it also with your other creations).

Collage Obsession: Candles

We are living the darkest week of the year in the Northern hemisphere, and I really coudn't survive this without lighting a lot of candles every evening. I made this collage of candles on a spread of my "Black Journal", which is my another survival tool for the dark season.
Now I challenge you to make a piece of art with candles in it. You can interprete the theme in any way you like - this is a game, not a serious business.
Post your creation on your blog or other website and leave a comment with a link to your collage.
I hope I'll see a lot of candles!

TRIO

Your challenge for this week is to build a collage around a TRIO. Any trio will do; the three little pigs, the three billy goats Gruff, or a trio of saxophonists. How about three ballerinas in tutus, or the three wise men? You might like to depict "three, three, the rivals" from Green Grow the Rushes-O, or go into modern folk music with Peter, Paul, and Mary. Any trio that inspires you to create a collage is fine.

TRAVEL

A lot of us will be traveling for the holidays and/or have plans to do so in the new year ahead. Our theme this week is: TRAVEL. You may focus on a specific place or just the idea of traveling in general (by plane, train, car, etc...). It's up to you, just have fun!
