WHITE

We usually incorporate so much color in our art--so it's occasionally refreshing (and challenging) to take the color out. For this week's challenge, please create a collage featuring only shades of white. Think pure white, off-white, beige, ecru, antique white, bone white, cream, ivory. (And I find it hard to do a "white" art piece without incorporating some shades of gray). You may use the images below for inspiration and/or use them in your collage.

After you post your collage to your blog, please add a link to your blog posting, using the link feature at the bottom of this posting. Or, you can leave a comment on this post with your blog link.

Collage Obsession - Posters

Posters are fun to look at and also to create, so this week your challenge is to create a poster, but let's be a little light hearted and think about posters for Pantomimes or maybe Vaudeville.

I have posted an image from Wikipedia that may inspire you:

As you can see the banners are bold, mixed fonts and colours. The characters are not in perspective, and your background can be anything in general.

WHAT TO SUBMIT:
All types of art are welcome - digital collage,  mixed media, handmade cards, ATCs, scrapbook and journal pages, postcards - all are welcome.

HERE IS HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR WORK:
Please post our work on your blog or any other site. Next leave a link to your work using OUR LINK FEATURE BELOW ( the little "X" means you can delete your image if you make a mistake), or by putting a link to your work in the "comments" section.

I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOUR CREATIONS.

Have fun,

Kaylene

Saint Patrick's Day

Next Saturday is Saint Patrick´s Day and I thought we should celebrate the day also here at Collage Obsession. So the challenge is simply to use green in your collage. Choose any picture you wish, but color, add, paint or alter something green. Or lots of green. Perhaps you like to choose something, which usually is not green. Or you can collect and make your collage with green things.

WHAT TO SUBMIT
All types of art are welcome: digital collages, handmade cards, ATC cards, postcards, art journal pages, scrapbook pages, etc… Just have fun!

HERE'S HOW TO SHOW US YOUR WORK

Please post your art on your blog or other site. Next, leave a link to your work using our LINK FEATURE BELOW, or by putting a link to your work in our "comments" section.

I'm looking forward to your creations with green.

Leaves

I'm dreaming of summer. My garden is covered with a thick layer of snow, and it's hard to believe that in two months the snow will be gone and green leaves will be growing everywhere in the trees and on the ground. To celebrate this miracle, and as a tribute to Mother Nature's diversity in creating all those fantastic forms of plants, I challenge you to make a piece of art with the theme "Leaves".

All kinds of art goes here: digital and manual, 2D and 3D, any technique and material is welcome. All you have to do, after creating your piece, is to post your art on your blog or other site. Next, leave a link to your work using our link feature below, or by adding a comment with a link to your site in our "comments" section.

I'm adding here three images of leaves, which you can use in your piece if you want to, but you can use any other images just as well. The first image is from an old botanic book, the next one is a strawberry leaf which I have scanned and saved, and the last one is adrawing I've made in the big greenhouse in the Botanical Garden in Helsinki.

Come and celebrate with me Mother Nature's diversity !
