Blues

I think it´s time for the new color challenge. This time I picked my favorite color ~ blue.  Use color blue in your collage or you can surely express the word "Blue" in your collage or do both.

Hot Air Balloon

This week I will be hosting the challenge as Itkupilli has a busy week. Hot air balloons is our theme, this means a hot air balloon will be featured somewhere in your art work. Many styles come to mind, but I will leave that for you to decide.

Your work can be presented using any technique manual or digital. When you are ready, post your work on your blog or website and then link it to the Collage Obsession challenge by either using the comments page or the link feature below.

I found this clip art on Fancy Dog and I am sure you can find many interesting images to use by doing a Google search, or looking through our own collection.

Tulips

It's spring now here in Northern Europe, and that means tulips! Tulips are everywhere - in the gardens, in the parks, in the flower shops, on sale on the market place. Here in Finland we don't have tulip fields like they do in Netherlands, but in every garden there is at least a small flower bed full of tulips - red, yellow, orange, pink, white, and now also black.
I have posted here two images of tulips. The yellow ones are from a package of tulip bulbs, the red ones are from a 1613 book "Hortus Eystettensis" by Basilus Besler (reprinted in a 1999 Taschen postcard booklet "Flowers and Plants"). You can use these images or any other tulip images you like in your artwork for this challenge.
When your piece of art (which can be of any kind or technique, digital or manual) is ready, post your image on your blog or website, and then link it to the Collage Obsession challenge by using the Link feature of the site, or by leaving a comment with the address of your posting. (You can find this challenge also on the Collage Obsession's facebook site, and you can post your image on fb as well.)
